Nicholas Stephan

Founding Managing Director and CEO

Nicholas (Nick) Stephan has more than 10 years experience working in all facets of the financial markets, including sales, trading, and risk management. He is responsible for overseeing day-to-day management and the firm’s strategic direction.

Prior to co-founding Phoenix Partners Group, Mr. Stephan was a managing partner at Axiom Global Partners, a New York-based credit derivatives inter-dealer broker. Earlier in his career he worked as a credit derivatives broker for Euro Brokers, a global brokerage firm.

Mr. Stephan also held various positions at Enron Corp., where he began as a risk analyst in the company’s financial products group and later joined the credit derivatives group working in both sales and trading. Mr. Stephan began his career at Carr Futures, where he was an institutional broker specializing in commodity and financial futures.
