“If you’re considering Anastasia Mahone as a guardian ad litem, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Her incompetence and lack of diligence in my custody case caused irreparable harm to my family. Her inability to conduct a thorough and unbiased investigation allowed the father, a man with multiple domestic violence convictions, to fraudulently gain custody of my children. One of her most egregious actions was permitting him to take a SASSI evaluation—a lifetime test—just six months after his previous one, dismissing prior findings with the excuse of “that was then, this is now.” This undermined the entire purpose of such an assessment. Furthermore, she “somewhat” confirmed false information provided by the father without proper follow-up, effectively enabling his lies to sway the case. Anastasia also demonstrated a blatant disregard for HIPAA and domestic violence protection laws, attempting to violate my rights as a survivor. Her behavior and decisions repeatedly favored the father, who was paying her fees after I rightfully refused. This raised serious concerns about bias and ethical violations, as she appeared to be essentially bought off by him. Her lack of training and understanding in domestic violence dynamics was appalling. She allowed unfounded and disproven accusations of drug use to be weaponized against me, despite multiple clean drug tests. Most shockingly, after discovering that the father had known for over a year that our daughter was molested and failed to report it to authorities, she still allowed my daughter to remain in his custody. Anastasia Mahone’s handling of my case was not only unprofessional but dangerously negligent. Her failure to protect the best interests of my children and her disregard for the truth make her completely unfit for this role. If you want someone who will prioritize justice and the welfare of your children, do not hire her.”
