They're not clear from the start; there's never any in-person contact with them, it's always by phone. I hired them to defend me, and after I paid them, they said it was better if I signed a voluntary deportation agreement. It's like they don't want to do their job, and they charge extra for following my case, on top of the 8,000 payments. You have to be careful.

My experience with this company wasn't very good. Initially, they quoted me $9,000 for court representation and the U visa application. I had already done as much as I could on my own, such as obtaining work permits and other things. When I was about to finish paying the $9,000, they said I had to give them another $4,000 because the $9,000 was only for the U visa certification. I agreed because of how things are in this country. We went to two courts, and the judge was always in a bad mood because they weren't presenting things properly. I had to give them $1,000 to start the U visa application. They would call me one or two days before the hearing to tell me what they already knew, but they never prepared anything. They just stalled to get my money and pay them the $9,000. They called to scare me, saying they were going to issue a deportation order and that my case wasn't strong. Why didn't they tell me that before I gave them the money? 9000. Out of fear, I didn't go to my last court hearing. They gave me a deportation order, and before that, they brazenly asked me if I wanted to continue with the U visa application, which they never even filed. They kept the 1000. Before hiring these lawyers, take precautions, because I asked them from the beginning if the 9000 was the total amount, and they said yes, but then they said I had to pay another 4000, supposedly with a discount.
