“I cannot begin to explain how frightened and scared I was when my husband called me to tell me he had been detained by the police at JFK airport. Not realizing the law in New York and accidentally having taken his firearm with him from Florida on a boat he sailed to NYC for training, TSA stopped him when he put his bag through screening to fly home. He had no intention of hiding anything or breaking the law but the port authority police handcuffed him and took him into custody for what was an honest mistake. Fast forward, my family found Jeremy. He was calm and reassuring during one of the most difficult times in our lives. He explained what he thought would happen and how he would get past the felony charge without serving jail time.
