“My case began after a late night of fishing, on my way home I unfortunately lost control of my car and totaled it when I hit a tree. After calling the police to report it, the officer administered a sobriety check which I passed. He the then tried to administer a breathalyzer which I refused. We came up with a fair compromise where I would take several charges(reckless driving being one of them) as long as the prosecution dropped the DUI charges. “I highly recommend working with Matthew Simone. He did an outstanding job on my DWI case. I got pulled over for “failing to signal 100 before a lane change” and then arrested for DWI. After explaining what had happened to Matt, he was very eager to take on the case. In NY you’re not required to use a signal to signal a lane change prior to a 100 feet. You are only required to signal your lane change prior to changing lanes and to change lanes with safety. After watching dashcam footage from the arrest, the footage had confirmed Matt’s suspicions - that there was an issue with probable cause for the stop. The footage showed that I turned my signal on right before changing lanes and I did so with safety. As a result, the case was resolved with a traffic infraction and my arrest record will be sealed.”
